Remote Lands is one of the world’s leading luxury travel operators. Their guests encounter facets of Asia unreachable to visitors through any other means. Their knowledge and networks go deeper, built up over our years of travelling, learning and making lasting local connections.
Me and my team designed an interactive landing page (mini-site) that took the visitor through a virtual journey. The goal was to allow the visitor of the website to explore the whole journey step by step, giving a sense of a digital exploration through immersive visuals and a compelling written story.
The interactive mini-site recreates the actual travel journey named "The Bill Bensley Trail", offered by Remote Lands. The site allows the visitor to discover and experience each of the 5 stops through photos, videos and text highlights.
Since this was an unique concept, several ideas had to be explored using pen and paper sketches. After discussions with the client, we agreed on the final idea for all interactions.
Wireframes & Prototype
The next step after the paper sketches was to create an interactive prototype, which we can use to validate all interactions of the website.
If you are even more curious about my approach, I recorded my entire visual design process in this 30 minutes video below. Enjoy
